A community solar garden is proposed on farmland located in the township. Representatives from the company, Sunshare, presented the details at the regular township meeting on Mar. 14, 2024. Request for Qoute

The New Hartford Township Board of Supervisors is currently accepting quotes for tree removal and emergency tree removal, please include response time and provide Certificate of Insurance with quote. Please have quotes in by June 7th, 2025. Contracts will run through January 1st 2026 and then yearly after. 

The quotes will be opened at 7pm, June 12th, 2025 during the monthly Township meeting.

Seasonal Road Reminder

For road maintenance concerns – please contact township supervisors with your ideas, comments, and needs. We have an unusually high number of miles of road to take care of and our maintenance men, Carl Ukkestad and Charles Sonnek need every minute they have to keep things in good shape. Everyone’s help is appreciated.

New Hartford Township is a township in Winona County, Minnesota, United States. The population estimate for 2021 is 798. The household number estimate for 2021 is 324. The town hall is located in the unincorporated community of Nodine.

New Hartford Township was organized in 1858, and named after Hartford, Connecticut, the former home of a share of the early settlers.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 35.2 square miles (91 km2); 35.1 square miles (91 km2) is land and 0.1 square miles (0.26 km2), or 0.20%, is water.
